Children
The children ministry at DMMA focuses on building an environment for the children that embraces the culture, tradition and teachings of our ancient Orthodox Christian faith. At the young age, the children learn and grow confidently through spiritual practices and cultural traditions that help them grow to be a member of the community as well as a member within the Body of Christ.
“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.” Colossians 1:28
Youth
The Youth Ministry at DMMA continues the growth development of the next generation within the Church and is committed to creating an open environment where everyone feels free to express themselves without the fear of judgement. No matter where the youth is in their spiritual journey, this Ministry is centered around the teachings of the Apostles, the Word of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and the cultural traditions of this ancient Orthodox Christian faith.
“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
Community Outreach
The focus of these programs is to practise the love of Christ as He commanded us to love our neighbours as ourselves. Weather it be a member of our church congregation or those in the community, these programs offer spiritual fellowship as well as practical assistance.
“Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.” Romans 15:7
Bible Study
To introduce the basic teachings of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church to those who wish to join the church.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16
